PMI Agile Special Interest Group
The past few weeks I have been involved with a group of folks that are working to start up a special interest group within the PMI, specifically around agile methodologies. There are some pretty heavy hitters involved: Michele Sliger, Stacia Broderick, Mike Griffiths, Mitch Lacey, and Jesse Fewell amongst others.
As the PMI begins to accept some of the agile practices into the PMBOK, this group could be influential in helping to shape that content. There may be room for a domain specific addendum specifically addressing agile practices.
I am interested to know what you think. Is this a bad idea? Think it is a good idea and want to help out? Should APLN support this initiative? What are the risks? There are lots of questions to answer and I am really interested in your thoughts.
