Interesting Post… 10/17/2010 through 10/24/2010
Hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend… I know I did. Friday after work, some buddies and I headed up to North Carolina to do a bit of hiking. We got in late, setup camp for the night, and hiked up Mt. Mitchell the next morning. At over 6,600 feet above sea level, it is the highest point East of the Mississippi. It was pretty brutal… nearly 6 miles straight up… then 6 miles straight down. I have to say, I think the 6 miles down were more difficult that the 6 miles up. My legs turned to jello and my quads are barking at me today… need to get out more often!
Sunday morning, we made the annual Cottmeyer family trek to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville, Georgia. This place has the biggest pumpkins I’ve ever seen. Our weekend schedule has been pretty crazy so, with Halloween just next weekend, we showed up a little later than usual. The selection wasn’t as good, but it gave me an excuse to get an even bigger, more expensive pumpkin than my wife can usually tolerate. I’m a big believer in annual traditions with my kids… this is one of our favorites. I posted a picture down below of our haul!

I thoroughly enjoyed the post about overcompensating on project dev to correct spec tread. I’ve seen too much of it over the past year. Even using source control. Ends up being a shoddy management of team directives and phasing.
