What is Agile? Is it processes? Is it a type of culture?
Agile processes require a certain context to be effective—so this means we need to form teams, build backlogs, and measure and control work in a way that gets us to a working, tested product at the end of each sprint if we want Agility.
It’s more than just the roles, ceremonies, and artifacts of Scrum. It’s the ecosystem Scrum and other Agile practices operate in that really matters. The problem is that this ecosystem doesn’t exist in most of the companies that are actually trying to adopt Agile—at any kind of scale.
